My work is an ongoing exploration of how best to interpret the ideas in my mind and the world around me. Using acrylic on canvas as my primary medium, I appreciate its versatility, availability, and quick drying properties, which allow for dynamic and spontaneous creation.

Born and raised in Nigeria, Yomi grew up with the freedom to explore his surroundings — a privilege that nurtured his creative spirit and deepened his connection to nature. Since beginning painting in 2010 as a self-taught artist, Yomi’s style has continuously evolved, developing a distinctive style rooted in meticulous detail, and emotional depth.

Yomi’s art is characterized by bold colours, layered textures, and a fluid approach to form, created using an array of tools including brushes, palette knives, acrylic pens, and even his bare hands. Yomi's artworks have been featured internationally including publications in the United Kingdom and Nigeria, and exhibitions in both countries as well as Spain, Greece and the United Arab Emirates.
